The Art of Storage: Insurance Considerations for Fine Art Storage Facilities
Date(s): March 17, 2016
Time: 2:00 PM EST - 3:00 PM EST
This month’s session will discuss considerations for fine art storage facilities. In the past, private collections were typically housed in the home of the collector. However in today’s landscape, it has become more and more common that collectors are choosing to store some of their collections offsite. If such a facility suffered damage from an unexpected and/or catastrophic event, the losses could be staggering.
Our discussion will focus on what to look for when selecting a storage facility and will discuss loss prevention techniques that need to be taken to secure adequate protection in advance of purchasing insurance coverage.
