Lending Artwork: Tips and Advice for your Clients

Fine Art is a relatively common collectible in the high net worth world, yet the business of protecting and insuring this type of valuable property is highly specialized.   There are many risks specific to Fine Art and many nuances to properly addressing these risks both physical and financial.  This session will focus on clients that lend items to museums or consign them to galleries or auction houses.   We will discuss and answer questions like:  What do you look for when reviewing the loan/consignment agreement they will be asked to sign?  What questions should your client in order to properly protect them and their property?  We will also cover the nuts and bolts of the loan/consignment agreement transactions and how best to protect your clients’ interest through the contract language and insurance.
