Development of a blended learning certification program recognized at national awards

PRINCETON, NJ – JULY 11, 2016 – New Level Partners, LLC (NLP), a premier learning and development company headquartered in Princeton is honored to announce it is the recipient of an APEX Award for Excellence for the sixth year in a row. The 2016 recognition was earned through the development of the Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor (CPRIA) certification for the Private Risk Management Association (PRMA), an eLearning series endorsed by St. John’s University’s School of Risk Management (SRM). The APEX Awards are an annual competition for corporate and nonprofit publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media.

“The CPRIA certification was the logical choice to submit for the 2016 APEX Award. The certification is unique and exhibits the perfect blend of niche expertise, offers the benefits of learning remotely using the latest technology, and provides a rich and meaningful educational experience,” shares Nancy Langton, co-founder and president of New Level Partners.

The six-segment curriculum includes a blended approach of interactive online modules and self-study learning. This consists of reading assignments, fully narrated and interactive eLearning modules developed by advanced instructional designers, case study assignments, and interactive live learning sessions led by industry leaders. It provides a unique opportunity for insurance agents to gain access to high net worth industry veterans and leading insurance executives and to obtain a professional certification. Each segment takes between six and eight hours for the user to complete. Once the curriculum has been entirely completed, the user receives a CPRIA certification from PRMA and St. John’s SRM.

“CPRIA is a first-of-its-kind online curriculum for agents who may have found it difficult to attend certification courses in person,” says Lisa Lindsay, executive director of PRMA. “It’s the first online professional certification course for agents in the high net worth space, and it has been well-received,” Lindsay added. “We have issued more than 1,000 certificates for completed segments and look forward to celebrating our first CPRIA graduate class in early 2017.”

Larry Pistell, Senior Associate Director of Corporate & Industry Relations, Center for Professional Education St. John’s SRM is a contributing member of PRMA’s Curriculum Committee.

“The quality of the CPRIA content and designation aligns with our expectations for a superior educational experience. Each participant receives a certificate endorsed by St. John’s University’s SRM throughout the completion of the program segments,” Pistell states.

In APEX 2016, awards were given in 11 main categories including: newsletters; magazines, journals and tabloids; annual reports; print media; electronic media; social media; websites; campaigns, programs and plans; writing; design & illustration; and one-of-a-kind publications. Out of the 1,600 nominations received in 2016, less than 40 percent received honors.
