The marketplace for passion collectibles such as luxury bags, spirits, and wine has increased in the past decade. Newer generations are spending their leisure income on more luxury lifestyle objects than just art and jewelry. Not all handbags are collectible, and not all wine and spirits age well. Learn the basics about the marketplace for these collectibles so you can become better acquainted with the marketplace, insurance issues and risk management for these objects, and more comfortably conversant with your collector clients.
Katja Zigerlig, Berkley One’s Vice President of Art, Wine & Collectibles Advisory. Katja is a passionate collector with more than two decades of art world experience. She is a board member of The Foundation of the American Institute of Conservation, a guest lecturer at Christie’s Education Department, and much more. She has not only helped to insure private collections but museums, galleries and exhibitions as well. She especially loves consulting with collectors and their advisors on how to help better protect their passion to collect.
