Roberta Kramer –Roberta is the Senior Vice President, Business Development, Heritage Auctions, is a 25-year veteran of the art and antiques world and a recognized USPAP-qualified appraiser and licensed auctioneer. Before beginning her career in auctions, she acquired experience in curating and gallery management at the Ben Uri Society in London, J. Rosenthal Fine Art, and Rita Bucheit, Ltd. In 1992, Roberta started her auction career as an account executive at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. Later, after founding the Antiques Center at Kinzie Square, she was named Consignment Director of Chicago auction house Susanin’s Auctions, where she managed the appraisal department and served as principal auctioneer. In 2001, she founded Roberta Kramer & Associates, Inc., a firm specializing in appraisals and art consulting. Roberta joined Heritage in 2016, opening the company’s first regional office in the Midwest. She now leads offices in Chicago and New York.
April Hann Lanford – April is the Principal of Artifact. Artifact excels in providing comprehensive services including disaster and risk mitigation, collection assessment, object preservation, conservation expertise, and museum-quality custom framing. With her sense of adventure and drive to safeguard artwork for her clients, she has been responding to large-scale losses since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She enjoys working with clients and sharing her industry expertise in articles, which can be found on multiple online blogs, Picture Framing Magazine, and Antique Trader.
Alison Sweeney—Alison is a Fine Art expert and underwriter at Distinguished Fine Art & Collectibles, working out of their New York office. Before her years as an underwriter, Alison spent seven years as an insurance broker specializing in the Fine Arts. Alison draws on her earlier experience working in museums and appraisals as a Fine Art expert, reviewing client schedules, assisting insureds with complex collections, and attending industry events and fairs. Alison holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Art History.
