Excess and Surplus Lines (E&S) 101: Part 1 of PRMA's E&S Series

Starting with the Fundamentals

Can you clearly explain how E&S differs from the standard market? How about articulating what surplus lines means to an insured? In the first part of PRMA’s new Excess & Surplus Lines series, we will kick off with the fundamentals. During this initial session you will learn about the history behind surplus lines, the key differences between the standard market and surplus market, how to access it, and what your clients really need to know when protecting their personal assets in the E&S space.

We will be joined by Barbara Ingraham, who is currently the Director of Integration at One80 Intermediaries. Previously, Barbara served as managing director of excess and surplus at ISO where she was responsible for leading ISO’s growth efforts in the excess and surplus market segment—setting strategy, enhancing existing capabilities, and developing new approaches to challenges facing the industry.
