About the Event
Close out the year with the Women in Insurance community for a relaxed, hands-on holiday gathering. We’ll craft together, trade favorite holiday recipes and ideas, and connect with fellow professionals across the private risk community.
Come ready to share:
- A favorite holiday recipe, whether it’s a side dish, soup, or dessert
- Not much of a cook? Bring a favorite craft idea instead
- Nothing to share? Come for the conversation and leave with fresh ideas
What We’ll Be Making
Samantha Hennessy, PRMA’s Education and Marketing Director, will lead two simple, inexpensive craft demos. Craft along with us, or sit back, watch, and try the projects later. Everyone is welcome! The session will be recorded, and we’ll share the instructions afterward.
Chunky Paper Chains
Remember making paper chains as a kid? We’re bringing them back with a modern twist. These oversized, colorful versions are an easy, inexpensive way to add holiday cheer to your home.
Supplies:
- Colored paper or cardstock (here’s what we’ll be using)
- Scissors or a paper cutter
- Stapler, tape, or hot glue gun
- Painter’s tape for hanging without damaging walls or ceilings
Tip: A paper cutter makes this project especially quick, but Sam will demonstrate with scissors and a stapler.
Paper Bag Stars
These oversized paper stars are made from ordinary paper lunch bags. They’re surprisingly simple to create and look beautiful hanging in windows, on walls, or around your home.
Supplies:
- Paper lunch bags (here’s what we’ll be using)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Scissors
- Command strips or your preferred hanging supplies
