PRMA Announces First Class of Graduates from its Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor Program
NEW YORK – March 14, 2017— Agents, brokers and insurance carrier professionals from some of the most elite insurance organizations in the U.S. are among the 149 graduates of the Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor (CPRIA) program. The Private Risk Management Association (PRMA) offers the CPRIA course, the first online certification program specifically developed for professionals in the high net worth space.
“We are excited for our graduates who worked so hard to obtain the first-ever CPRIA certification,” said Lisa Lindsay, executive director of PRMA. The series features six segments and includes a blended approach of interactive self-study learning opportunities. The course also provides participants access to high net worth industry veterans and leading insurance executives.
“This class of professionals represents some of the most dedicated in the field, and we’re honored that they chose to continue their professional development through PRMA,” added Lindsay.
Graduates began virtual classes in the summer of 2015 and completed the curriculum last month. The program, endorsed by the St. John’s University School of Risk Management (SRM) in New York, provides agents and brokers greater accessibility to professional certification courses.
New Level Partners, a national learning and development company specializing in insurance education, designed the customized CPRIA courses and serves as hosts to the learning sessions.
“We’re honored to partner with PRMA to offer this certification to present and future graduates,” said Larry Pistell, senior associate director, Center for Executive Development, St. John's University SRM. “CPRIA aligns with our expectations for a superior educational experience. The course is unique in that it provides real-world case scenarios, live learning experiences and predicts needs of the future,” added Pistell, a contributing member of PRMA’s Curriculum Committee. PRMA further enhances the educational opportunity at an annual summit, where thought leaders in the high net worth space deliver multi-level presentations and share trending topics.
PRMA presently has 345 professionals enrolled in the CPRIA curriculum and will open enrollment for the next course at the end of March. For more information, visit www.privateriskmanagement.org. Upon successful completion of each segment, participants receive a certificate endorsed by the St. John’s University SRM.
