The Millennials: How do we engage with them?
This session provides a look at the Millennial Client. Our presenters will share how Bessemer Trust is working with Millennial clients to teach financial stewardship and promote multigenerational communication.
About our Presenters:
Donna E. Trammell, Managing Director and Director of Family Wealth Stewardship
Ms Trammell leads Bessemer’s initiatives with families and next-gen, working directly with clients to customize financial education curriculums, design and facilitate multigenerational family meetings, and help families make decisions about shared assets. She also leads Bessemer’s NextGen Client Council and Bessemer’s annual Next Gen Workshop. Previously, Ms Trammell led the marketing program for Bessemer. In this role, she initiated Bessemer’s Across the Board video series and the Women & Wealth forums. Prior to joining Bessemer in 2001, she worked in the private client group at Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, she held client relationship management positions in the advertising and communications firms BBDO, Young and Rubicam and Grey. She is a noted speaker on the topic of raising good stewards of wealth and has been quoted in such publications as The Wall Street Journal and Worth. She is certified as a Family Business Advisor (FFI) and Multigenerational Facilitator (21/64). She also teaches financial literacy to teens from low-income households.
She has a B.A. in history and English from Colgate University.
Michelle C. Jacobs, Assistant Vice President and Family Education Associate
Ms Jacobs is an assistant vice president and family education associate for Bessemer Trust, responsible for expanding Bessemer’s work with its clients on next-generation education, multi generational family meetings, and governance. She also co-leads Bessemer’s Next Generation Client Advisory Council and Bessemer’s annual Next Generation Workshop.
Prior to joining Bessemer in 2014, Ms Jacobs worked as a client administrative analyst at a private investment firm in Connecticut supporting the firm’s client advisory and marketing efforts. Before that, she worked at her family-owned business in Connecticut where she focused on implementing operational and marketing initiatives. She graduated magna cum laude from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in business administration, with a concentration in economics. She is actively pursuing an M.B.A. from Fairfield University.
